CD/DVD Drive not reading discs
Hullo!Since upgrading to Windows 10 my PC has been unable to read any CD/DVD disc I put in. I hear information technology spinning so I doubt there'south any problem with the CD/DVD Bulldoze itself.
I was thinking information technology could be a driver consequence, merely there doesn't seem similar there'due south any problems with it. (Every bit usually there's a yellowish ! mark if there seems to be a problem.)
Does anyone have whatsoever ideas where the root of the problem could exist? And if so, how to resolve the issue?
Thanks!

As i see BD-ROM in explorer and CD-ROM in Device Manager kind of odd, being recognized differently from explorer and Device Director.
Exercise not need a driver for an optical drive, but should bear witness model number of the bulldoze ,non a name like CD-ROM.
Browse for hardware changes in Device Manager.Try troubleshoot Hardware and Sound in command panel here

I scanned for hardware changes, went through the 'Find and fix problems with devices and hardware' and even restarted the pc once more, but it's still saying CD-ROM in the device managing director.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Wondering why information technology is saying BD-ROM when it is non one from last pic in last post of yours and specs institute. http://www.cnet.com/products/sony-op...ial-ata/specs/
Finish of life production, was thinking firmware update, but if came with system said to get to manufacturer's site, do it wrong could make more problems. Telling me you tried Music CD, Movie DVD and neither played ? Not burned discs. If this is and then chances drives no skilful.- My Computer

If you have the option, attempt unplugging the CD drive from the motherboard SATA port and plug information technology into a different one, after shutting the PC down of form. Might solve your consequence.- System 1
